avi file format

I recently bought an Epson projector with the capacity to project from a usb flash drive (along with HDMI, etc.). I was hoping that Vegas could save my movie in avi format so I could put it on a flash drive to show through my Epson projector. I now have a free trial version of Vegas movie studio and made a very short movie to experiment with it. Avi was not listed as a possible format. Any ideas?

"Video for Windows" is your choice for AVI.
