Crashing while rendering with nested veg.

KelvinWorks schrieb am 04.09.2008 um 23:58 Uhr
Does anybody know what would be causing Veg 8b pro to crash while rendering.

It was rendering just plain ordinary widescreen DV although it is nexted. Do I have to render each nest file by it self?

Do I need to reinstall?

I was able to render this project once with no problems but have not been able to render after make some minor adjustments, even if I use the veg file prior to making to the adjustments. (I save a new file after any changes that I make)

Thank you in advance, if I get any responce just very frustated.

This is the error code:

I don't know the cause, but I can tell you you're not alone.

A couple of friends of mine avoid nesting veg files since they get crashes when rendering them.

Myself, I haven't gotten crashes during renders of nested veg files, but I have gotten bizzare pauses, where my render just kind of stops. The only way to get it going again is to launch another instance of Vegas and then the original render will continue to completion on its own.

Hopefully this is something that SCS will fix, nested veg files are really a powerful capability of Vegas Pro 8 that I like to use.

Thank you for the reply,

I will keep that in mind about if it has a big pause and try that if it that happens.

I started to change out .veg files with AVI files but these hard crashes were becoming very random so I unistalled and reinstalled V Pro 8 and now it appears everything is back to normal and I was able to complete the render with a combination of .veg files and AVI files.
