Error -57 : VEGAS Pro 17 [solved ! ]

Hello !

For a few days I can no longer use Vegas pro 17.

Code error -57

I have a license (since December 2019), I'm on windows 10.

I haven't changed anything on my PC.

I uninstalled reinstalled but nothing happened.

I can't find any solution on the forum.

@Gabriel-MOREAU - Have you searched using “Code error -57”? I just did and I got back a bunch of comments. Nothing in there pointing towards a solution? First thing I read was a “broken folder”.

Every reference to this error code on Google suggests that you are not licensed to use the software. Google "Error Code 57, Vegas Pro"

@JackW - I must remember Mr Google. However @Gabriel-MOREAU states it is licensed. Maybe an email to MAGIX Customer Services is needed? Could be a need to get the PC authenticated.

The test of Vegas 19 (uninstalled now) is causing the problem ?

No Magix software stats when windows open.

Try deactivating VP 17 from your Magix account and reinstall it.

I find the solution : Forced an update to Windows 10 - 21H2. I reinstall and : Voilà !

My PC refused this update. I found a microsoft link to install the 21H2 update without going through the update application.
