MSI Afterburner GPU Monitor AND Screen Capture

Just thought I'd share this FREE app from MSI, which does a good job doing full screen capture.

So far, I can edit the Afterburner video capture files straight into Vegas w/ out any problems.

Note1: The 100% quality files can get quite large so pls be sure there's lots of disk space to record longer screen shot sessions.

Note2: If you have any apps running in the background that is using 3D driver, you'll need to add it to the MSI Afterburner exceptions list or Afterburner may not start recording.

Note3: There's no start/stop button, so be sure to set the hot key to start and stop recording.

There are a bunch of tutorials on YouTube how to use the screen capture utility. Just search MSI Afterburner screen capture, or MSI Afterburner screen recorder.

Here's the background:
I was gaming and wanted to screen capture a cheat who was obviously using an auto aim hack. I had him busted and used BB Blueberry screen capture to record him red handed. BUT because of the high frame-rate and graphics card vector graphics, BB could not properly screen capture the video. it was very choppy and multiple images popping up all over the screen, basically unusable... D*a*m*n! Needless to say I was a bit upset. So, out of necessity, I did a search for specialized game recording softwares. I found some of them are for purchase but MSI Afterburner was free and got decent comments.

Afterburner is primarily a video card and system monitoring program but has screen capture capability. It auto senses whether you're recording in-game or just recording desktop. Again, there are many tutorials on YouTube if anyone here is curious. Also, I think MSI Afterburner is one of the few if not the only screen recording app that can record games AND desktop.

There is a tutorial on YouTube where the guy has to edit the config file to record the desktop. The new version (from the link above) already has this enabled and the updated code, as I mentioned, auto-detects if you're recording a game or just the desktop.

I'm not into recording games, but while researching this, I've found that all the guys who mentioned what editor they used to edit their videos, they used Vegas Pro. (;
