NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070

I would like to know if the Vegas Pro 15 Suite will work properly with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 in my Windows 10 Pro 64bit system, because I heard that there are problems. I just bought a new PC with this graphic card. I have the Vegas Pro 13 Suite and I have not been able to use it because my new PC broke 1 year ago and I was not able to get a new one until now. So if the new Vegas Pro 15 Suite will work properly with this NVIDIA may be I need first to upgrade. I think is coming out in 3 days... I have not yet uploaded mine (Vegas Pro 13 Suite) in my new PC. I hope some one can tell me what is best😉

after a year 3 days or so isn't long to wait.

what's stopping you loading v13?

Right, I'd wait three days and test the demo version then.

I cannot get it to work and think it is the card. Purchased a Zotac 1070 and get white screens with Vegas. Updated to latest drivers from Nvidia site. Still white screens. Rolled back to a Nvidia Quadra 2000 and white screens gone. (I was also troubleshooting USB3 SSD issues concurrently so possible that impacted performance.) Anyone got a GTX 1070 working?

I've got a MSI1070 running Vegas 14 and haven't noticed any issues. It's not on my main system, so I can't say I've tested it extensively, but does seem to me more likely there's something wrong with your card.

Hi,
GTX 1060 6GB? You work with 4k? Run well? How much fps in preview window? No problems with gpu, what is the use in "task manager"?

I use a GTX 1070 with VP15 (build 261) on windows 10 64bit. No issues at all. I can preview 4K XAVC S at Best (full) with one or two plug-ins (contrast, color corrector) at a full 30 fps (occasionally I need to drop it down to Best (half). No render issues so far.

Why is that happening? How can I correct it? Also the speed is not normal goes too slow and jumping .. the program is not working right... why????

Preview GPU use is an average of 3.8%. CPU 21%

During render: GPU average is 7% and CPU at 98%

So why do you think I have the slow speed and black thin moving lines? Any idea how could I solve that?

With my GTX 770 I have exactly the same problem but much worse. In addition to not giving great fluidness in preview, despite the processing power, it only uses 2% while rendering, and sometimes has peaks of 80s 90s%, otherwise the cpu is doing the rest of the work 99% ~. In other words, it does not use almost the same while it works, while the latest and with much less processing power (AMD RX 460) makes use of it and gives me a better workflow.

Anyway, thank you very much for the feedback, it was very important !, but as I was planning I will buy a future amd (nvidia is good on drives (my amds are a headache), low consumption, games etc. ..) but in sony vegas it is still a long way from becoming efficient. As I edit in 4k with fx, I'm thinking of going to vega 56 or 64 ... but I'll wait a little longer.

Once again, thank you!

I honestly don't know what could be causing your issue. I used to have VP13 installed on a different computer but it worked fine with the same GTX1070 card (not quite as fast but I had an older CPU). If this only occurs for you in Vegas I could only guess if it is a problem with the driver, the card itself, or perhaps even a problem with your OS. To answer your original question however, the GTX1070 does work with VP15 and works well assuming all components are operating correctly.

I feel the need to upgrade my video card. I have a GTX460 that is getting some time on it. I'd like to know if my system is up to specs to replace and upgrade. There was a test of sorts that showed your system and its configuration but I fail to remember what it was. I have upgraded to an SSD and windows 10 as my boot drive with a 750 GB hard drive for storage that is not showing up in my device manager which leads me to question where it went. It appears that I have most everything. Puzzled.
