Hi,
my movie project in VEGAS Pro 16 (created in Pro 15) includes hundreds of still images and video footage files.
As well I have lots of audio files. So I created a folder- /subfolder structure to categorize all my files.
It looks like this:
movie\0_project\ contains all *.veg files (recursive projects used)
movie\1_Source\Audio\category_1\ contains all audio files category 1, f.e. recordings
movie\1_Source\Audio\category_2\ contains all audio files category 2, f.e. music choice for chapter one in movie
movie\1_Source\Foto\category_1\ ...fotos for chapter one of movie
movie\1_Source\Foto\category_2\ ...fotos for chapter 2 of movie
movie\1_Source\Video\category_1\ ... video footage for chap. 1
movie\2_Target\ where the render output goes
Now I come to my question:
How can I backup my project in a way that it is possible to work further on the project after restoring it to a drive with another designation. For example I tried to just move the complete folder structure from drive E: to drive C:
When trying to start then it doesn't work. Also possible that I did something wrong, but I guess the problem is, that VEGAS uses absolute pathes for the audio/video source files. Is it somehow possible to make it using relative pathes for both: finding the source files and finding *.veg sub projects.
Thank you for your answers in advance,
Michael.
