SCS - images and links markup

paul_w schrieb am 25.11.2012 um 17:19 Uhr
Could you please update the sticky here:
http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?MessageID=521496&Replies=0

to include a note that HTTPS secure links do not work on this forum for images.

Edit:
Once again - thanks for nothing SCS. Listen, if you guys have a personal grievance with me here, feel free to email or call me - just because i called your beta program garbage. Got a problem? tell me, but dont hold back on updating helpful information for others on the forum because of it.

Paul.

Hmm, now this has got me thinking. John, every time there seems to be anything negative directed to SCS on this forum, you're the chap who has a come back. Nothing personal or anything, but curious, are you working for SCS in a any capacity? Maybe its just loyalty with Vegas over the years. But why is there so much protectiveness from you. If i'm right, could you get this issue sorted out? Because its about time someone did. Then again, i could be just wasting my time, just like the 15 or so issues and suggestions i reported during the beta that were completely ignored :(

I think that your suggestion to update the sticky warning that HTTPS links don't work for images is a good one, it was your edit on which I was commenting, it seemed a bit harsh. And, no, I don't work for SCS.

Well lets hope 'they' listen this time and actually do something about it - for everyone.
I apologise for the little outbreak. Harsh - yes. brought about by frustration. These guys just dont get it.... Still, i have no right to attack.

Just to give you a little perspective, while SCS has occasionally updated the forum software due to user suggestions, the time frame is often years. So, don't hold your breath.

I noticed the /https links don't work as well. For example, when I "copy public link" on my local DropBox, the link is an /https link. When I paste it here, I edit the link so that it becomes an /http link and then it works.

Not sure if that will work for other /https links, but it works for me with DropBox.
