Vegas 9 32 and 64 bit preferences

Is there a way to keep separate preferences for the two versions? I'm having an annoying situation with the VST plugins, since there are some that are 32 bit and others are 64 bit, including the same plugin that has a 32 bit version and a 64 bit version. So I put the 64 bit ones under C:\Program Files\VST plugins, and the 32 bit ones under C:\Program Files (x86)\VST plugins. The problem is that if I configure Vegas 64 bit to look for them in the "C:\Program Files\VST plugins" location, then if I have to open Vegas 32 bit to use a codec that doesn't have a 64 bit version, it will give me an error when I try to work with the VST plugin because it's reading the 64 bit version. So I would like to have separate settings files for Vegas 32 and 64 bit, is that possible?

I'm not sure but one thing that bit me was bringing a project into 64 bit Vegas that had 32 bit only plugins (magic bullet). I saved it and discovered I had lost all of my magic bullet settings when I brought it back into 32 bit Vegas.
