Vegas and Canopus ADVC 300

Sup Everybody,

Just bought a Canopus ADVC 300 and it is outstanding! Video Quality is great going into Vegas. But, you know how perfectionest are: always trying to improve on perfection.

When capturing from Vegas, I am using the standard MicroSoft DV Camera and VCR. Is this the best capture device (or only one), or is there another one I can use to even improve on the quality? If so, where can I get it?

When you're capturing through the ADVC-300 you are suing the Canopus codec, the one in the box.
As to the Microsoft DV Camera part, it matters not a rats, it has no effect on quality, all you are doing is transferrign data from the 300 to a file on the disk.

Great box though, if I can get the work might invest in one of the upscale ones as well although I hear there'll be some better stuff coming out at NAB.
