Yes, I noticed this and at first I couldn't figure out how to dock the preview window but a pop up explained. This is a much better system. The auto docking behaviour in the past used to be really annoying.

I can't tell you how many times I've moved a floating window only to have it unexpectedly dock while I was dragging it. This behavior is much, much, better.
