You need to upgrade VP20 and your system is not going to cut it. With 10 bit 4.2.2 you can forget about cuting. As you clearly see it for yourself. Upgrade system to edit natively or transcode your footage.

As many has pointed out. Your system GPU is not up to the task, way out of date. It is incapable to running newer software with GPU. Unless you disable the GPU and run it strictly CPU. Just a note, your system is not a beast of a system by any means. As of today, there are many systems will way 300-400 % faster then your, when compare to power house system.

But mediainfor has nothing to do with it MediaInfo for your renders has nothing to do with it? Well ok then, suit yourself. Happy New Year! Mediafor is way over used and over asking. You should taking the time to read detail in the post rather then a nice quick Mediainfo? HOS file failed to upload is not the end of the road. There is alternative as I have done. I am just asking anyone encounter the same issue. Thats all.

@BruceUSA Try these files. Facebook from HOS If they work, I'll share my HOS settings. I just test you file and I am getting the same. As I said, it is not a source file probem. But rather the HOS problem. No problem with Magix MP4 template.

Provide the MediaInfo for one that doesn't work, and one that works, and we'll test. Thanks for your time. But mediainfor has nothing to do with it because the same camera (GH5) 10 bit 4.2.0 source file rendered out with HOS never has any problems wtih uploading video file into Facebook as I have done many over the yrs. This issue have just happened about a month ago. I believed it is a HOS issue. As I said above, if I render using Magix MP4 template. The video file will be upload into facebook sucessfully.

Rendering 2x faster when restricting to P-cores for Alder Lake...
I am curious what CPU Multi Core points can you get on Cinebench R23 on your 12900K at stock speed? I just did a rendering 20 pass to complete the test on my 12700K @5.2 all P core, 5.3 @ 6 core and turbo boost 3 cores @5.4. The rendering get me 24,525 points. CPU draw maximum power of 270 watts.

Todd-b. I am not sure how that is done with a button press to disable e cores. I am sure it can be done in the bios. If I find the free time I will give that a try to see what is the difference between CPU encode without the e cores. They are people on this forum own 12th gen CPU as well can give that a interesting finding also.

@BruceUSA My processor has 4 more E-cores, so maybe the chance Windows 11 Thread Director is picking E-cores in my system is greater and could lead to my system being less performing than yours. Do you set your cores to certain speeds in BIOS or do you let the system choose? Anyway, my issue is perfectly reproducible, and I am pretty sure I can rule out culprits such as memory, graphic card, motherboard, and SSD. Can you do some render tests disabling E-cores vs enabling? I set set all E Cores full speed @4.1ghz in the bios. This is manual overclocked. Full specs in my sig.

I don't see this issue on my 12700K with Windows 11 Pro running 8 P cores @5.2, 6 cores @5.3, 3 cores @5.4. E cores set @4.1ghz. For my own experience and my workflow. I see that my system rendering 4K footage very fast, like I was rendering 1080P. This is with Asrock 6900XT OC Edition card.

Blue tint after updating AMD drivers
I am running 3 monitors running off the 6900XT. I am thinking adding a HDMI connection to one of the monitor HDMI port to the motherboard HDMI. That way I can use IGPU for render in Vegas. I can use the GPU to render in Davinci Resolve as because I am using this 2 software depends on what project I am working on. Hopefully a new driver will fix this issue. Ps. That is 22.5.1 fix this purple tint.

I just built a new system i7 12700K running @ 5.2, turbo boost @5.4ghz, DDR5 6200Mhz and Asrock 6900XT. I am running a render test and my video has a purple tint. I am running up to date driver version 22.8.2 Any one having the same issue? The weird thing is video render in Davinci resolve is fine.

Extreme artifacting in 4K 120fps rendering
@BruceUSA HIs his onscreen info shows his game giving him 138 unique frames per second so if he captures and renders at 120fps he will get a almost lifelike representation of his gameplay for him or friends to watch locally. He could send those videos to people, or host on an upgraded gaming discord at whatever fps he wants, or hosting sites that provide a player but use your encode, it doesn't re-encode. Here is an example using a video I conformed to 120fps, https://videy.co/v?id=ijpMvUq0 If you have a 144hz monitor you should see 120 unique frames per second, unless there's a limitation to how quickly browsers or the player updates. @todd-b Thanks for the explanation. :)

Premiere vs Vegas - 4K video decode/preview video cross track test
Welcome sentiments. But I have seen moderators close down discussions about Resolve. It was a while back so I cannot reference it. “If posts are entirely deleted, it is probably due to the users themselves deleting posts.” I consider the habit of moderators deleting users posts sometimes a bit cowardly. Moderators will delete a post, give no reason, and the cowardly part … the user doesn’t even know who did it. This has happened to me more than once in the past. One other thing on this topic. I also consider it cowardly that a moderator uses the private messaging to attack a user. If they have something to say, say it in the forum, this practice should be stopped by Magix. OTOH maybe Magix agrees with and encourages it, who knows. JN. 100% accurately said. I am a Vegas Pro user and I can't denied the facts that the two major NLE competitor is simply performs TL/Rendering far better then Vegas Pro can. But when any time some one made a post saying anything negative Vegas Pro. Bam, you got a s h i t loads of people will jump on you or delete you out etc. For that reasons, I rarely comments or participate on the forum. However I do lurk the forum on and off. I am 50/50 of Vegas Pro and Davinci Resolve studio depends what footages I am working on. If I am working on hecv 60P and or 8K footage from my drone. I would then will use Davinci Resolve studio.

can you betray your good idea and the name/model of that 32" 10 bit monitor? I don't remember exactly what model of the 32" but I do remembered it is the BenQ high end model with 100% RGB gamut. With limited desk space on this specific work area I can not have dual monitor, hence the removed of the hdr one. I love the 32" BenQ for color accuracy love the 32: size.

I am rendering HDR right now and required tremendous computing power. Last yrs I bought a BenQ 27" HDR monitor for testing HDR video. Since then I removed from my desk and use my 32" 10 bit monitor for Photos/video. I am now have a pretty good idea how I grade my HDR on SDR monitor and the results is I like it.

Wow... This is bold.
My .02 cents is this. Its a good idea to own more than 1 NLE because when there are time one NLE can't cut your footage and the other NLE can. Last week I was working on some 8K drone h264 footage. Import that into Vegas Pro 18, create proxy and am getting terrible preview, stutter and the the preview look like a corrupted file. Then, I try to import that into Resolve studio16. I got full frame rate 8K preview and cut it like butter. There are a lot thing to like in Vegas Pro as well. Its just not in the same level in editing performance, like Resolve.

URGENT! HEVC 10-Bit 4:2:0 crashing VP18-373.2
Hi @BruceUSA, the 100p clip AVS_20201108_0055_XAVC10Bit4K100p422.MP4 is not HEVC, it is actually XAVC-S. Apart from playback performance, that one shouldn't be an issue. Just thrown it in for good measure ;-) How did you go with the rest? HEVC is the problem here. You are right. I did not look closely. I was just happen to click on 1 clip and downloaded. As for what I remembered previously I had test the hevc file from A7S III do indeed caused VP to crash, just like the EOS R5.
