5 camera edit.

Does anyone know a way to render the actual Multicam preview. A customer would like to see all angles at the same time to review before edit. I was able to do this by using track motion and putting each track in a small window on the video screeen. I was just wandering if there is a faster way to render the muticam preview to mpeg or something without using track motion.

Thanks

You might be able to do this with a multi-cam app like Excalibur of Ultimate S but, with only Vegas, you're limited to the way you're doing it.
I do question letting your customer see it though as that's a slippery slope to be walking on :(
After all, they hired you to do a job so they should trust you.

Thanks. Not to worry about them seeing footage. My original project was completed.
They have asked me to work on another project using the same footage. Bonus!

Thanks

Multicam in Vegas will preview up to four tracks.

My Vegas must be different, as I regularly do 8-12 cameras :)

musicvid and Piotr, EP can do the multi-cam edit just fine.
What he/she wants is to be able to record what is showing in the preview window.

How about a screen recorder like camtasia set to capture the preview window?

Picture -in- Picture or Track Motion/re-size your layers so they all sit/fit on the screen.
Render

video wall would automate the process. here

@Jerry - I'd think Camtasia would work great too. Good idea since Vegas can't do it natively,

Another decent screen capture program I've been using lately is BBFlashback Express. Express is the free version with basic features.

I just don't see Vegas timeline having the power to play very many tracks real-time while the screen is being recorded real-time. I'm still feeling what that very wise old man said above will give the best results:

- Picture -in- Picture or Track Motion/re-size your layers so they all sit/fit on the screen.
- Render

As mentioned, DaviTools VideoWall is a Quick & FREE way to automate the process.
