I made a major discovery last night, and I think I've solved not only my stuttering output problem but also a whole host of interruptions (including my computer continually waking itself out of sleep mode).
Open your CONTROL PANEL and click on SCHEDULED TASKS.
These tasks should all be disabled. You can do that by right-clicking.
My problem was that PC Health File was, for some reason, set to run EVERY TEN MINUTES! (Not coincidentally, my outputs were being interrupted at around 10 minute intervals.)
I right-clicked and chose PROPERTIES and, rather than disabling it completely, I set it to generate a PC Health file only on start-up. So far, flawless output!
