Adding audio envelope

Using Vegas Pro 16 with Windows 10 and Intel i7 processor. Need to add audio levels envelope to audio tracks to fade them up or down at specific points. System will not insert audio level line on tracks using INSERT/AUDIO ENVELOPES/VOLUME or SHIFT + V. Do I need to uninstall and reinstall Vegas to bring this feature back, or is there a simple switch to activate it?

And this is helpful using automation to add keyframes. VP has 3 ways 2 add keyframes to audio if u don't know pressing v and doing it manually or drawing the keyframes on the audio track or using automation correct me if I'm wrong using automation to add keyframes just like in the video
