I'm having an issue where small sections of my audio tracks turn to clipped static momentarily. Restarting Vegas does not solve the problem but when I check the problem tracks in Window Media player they do not have the problem. Any ideas? I'm using Vegas 10.0e
What happens is that I get a loud static sound for a second or two and it shows up on the Vegas waveform as a clipped signal. If I play the same audio in another player it's fine.
Then post the requested information and perhaps someone can help you.
Also complete file information about the audio, any effects, plugins, etc. on the timeline.
Also search "audio buffers."
If the Waveform shows clips but the file plays normally in other app., perhaps the Vegas 'N ormalize' function got messed up. Right-click the Event and re- normalize. It is non-destructive so it will not change the actual file.
Post the file on-line, so we may take a look at it.
