Audio Sync with Multi_camera

EP wrote on 8/21/2012, 8:23 PM
I normally do not have a problem syncing up two cameras, but I am having trouble syncing up recent the audio. When I try to move one audio clip on the time line to match the waves in the other audio track, it moves to far. Is there a way to change this so I can move this audio clip ever so slightly to match the other sound clip waves.

Use the mouse wheel to zoom in on the timeline. This will allow you to move it in smaller increments.

Yes, I do that. But it will still moves to far when I try and drag it. And when I zoom to far, you cant even drag it anymore.

Turn off Quantize to Frames and you can slide the audio track in sub-frame increments.
It's found under the Options menu.
Remember to turn it back on afterward.

Thank you very much. That Worked.

It is safer if you leave the Quantize to Frames on and go to OPTIONS>PREFERENCES>EDITING

and select do not quantize to frames for audio only edits.

Dave T2, good idea but that only became an option in Pro 9 so if EP has an earlier version, he/she is out of luck :(

I am using Pro 11 and both solutions worked. Thanks.

Hold down the Alt key and use the number key pad, key 1 move left and key 3 for move right. Works best if you have the timeline streched to show upclose of frame by frame.
