Audio-video sync issue

I have asked before but am just so confused at why. We stream our events on the road with a company called NFHS Network (Playon Sports). On the road we use a laptop with their software in it. When we are done streaming we get the video from out laptop and edit it to play on our local tv channel. When I import it into Vegas Pro 15, the video is longer than the audio and the audio does not sync up with the video.

If I import it into my OLD Vegas Pro 13, it syncs up great. Why would a newer version do this? No, I'm not going to go through any process of converting or doing anything like this as long as I have VP13. My question is WHY would this happen?

Probably because it gets decoded by a different codec.
