How can I overcome the 2GB file size limitation that VF2 DLX keeps saying it can't exceed when rendering. I have a project that will be larger than 2GB & want to render it as .avi for use in another program since I can't change any of the MPEG encoder parms in VF2.
Under Options>Preferences uncheck the box that says Strictly Conform to AVI2 specifications. I believe this limits the size to 2g. If you are using Windows 98 or ME, the maximum file size is 4gig. So you won't be able to go over that. If you are using XP, there is no practical file size limit.
Also, when you render, name your output file with a 1 at the end. That way, Videofactory will automatically split files into 4GB chunks with name2, name3, etc., and link them together seamlessly when you print to tape (assuming you have a Windows 98 or ME operating system with FAT32 file system). If when you print to tape there is a jump or cut when the files change, that means you probably didn't defrag before rendering. Defrag and re-render and that should solve the problem. Hope this helps.
