This has to have been my lowest point in dealing with VP11.

I'd move an Event, alter a crossfade . . . . pouff.

Setup?

1] 1440x1080i MXF Project

2] No Media Manager

3] No GPU engaged.

4] Compat = Win7

5] No Graphic Tablet

6] Split hard drives

7] . . . . . .

I somehow got to a Render of MXF files in enough time to import to V10, rendered to MPG2 and AC-3; got the client's DVD ready for tomorrow and I'm knackered.

This is NOT what I want from editing.

Anyway, I've calmed down - a bit . . . .

Got my Project finished and DVDA-ed. Did some colour grading - in VP10. Rendered back out to MPG2 and AC-3 - in VP10.

lets hope v12 will not be a total mess like 11,, I'm on 10 and have had the swap media issue a couple of times, yes its a major deal but has not happened for a long time..and have confidence with it.. many projects done no issues........ but never the trouble you guys have in 11..
sorry to hear about your nightmare.... just want to edit and be confident in your program I'm sure

yeh i haven't moved to 11 or really thought about going to it.

if they do rewrite code* for 12 i'd be interested... but more of the same? feel i'm better staying where i am and using other software when necessary.
