CCE wont encode DV file after adding text

Hi all, I have some files that i pulled of my D8 Sony camcorder (Captured them in DV format), then I edited them, added some effects, and rendered it back to one huge AVI file... then ran it through CCE and everything was just fine.. but file was too big. So, I went back to VV, split my original project in 2 and just added "Part 1" and "Part 2" to begining of each.. rendered it back to 2 smaller files... and now CCE wont even start to encodign it... Any ideas why? All the encoding and rendering setting are identical to the first pass. The reason I'm doing is... just to experiment of different encoderes, bottom line of what i want to do is.. take my home tapes and put them on DVD. I'd like to know why adding text changed something in files so CCE wont encode it now, but I also like to hear yours advice on how to do what I just described. I was planning edinting in VV, encoding in CCE and authoring in Impression DVD... Dont know why, just based on all the reviews of quality/usability/speed of each app...

P.S. VV is the BEST editing application I've tried, and I've tried a lot (prolly all of them). Why? 1. Useablity, Stability, User interface, Power...
Thank you guys for great application
