I very seldom start as Admin, except when doing specific tests, which I was doing when I tripped onto this. I was comparing render times on my box between SSD/HHD drives, reading from one and rendering to the other, etc.
So I don't know if this is just on my box and install configuration or what!
On my hardware with i7 and Intel 630 GPU for QSV and Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti for NVENC renderhelp I don't see any difference to whatever or with what template I render as user or administrator of the program.
I did a test with a FHD 50P 2 minutes project with VPro 16 as normal user an as admin. I rendered with my favorite NVENC option with help from my NVidia videocard and my i7 processor, who still does the most in rendering as always for a very long time. To show it all on the monitor the Intel 630 GPU of that processor is being used.
The renders took all 1min 42 sec. or 0,85 x realtime.
I show here the last part (beginning at 62%)of the export with the Windows task manager running on screen
Just guessing: is antivirus more aggressive when running w/ elevated permissions?
@bvideo I have Windows Defender and Webroot running, so I turned them off and it made only 1 second difference. I appreciate your suggestion and to me it was worth the test to eliminate it as making the difference.
My thoughts and feelings are other, but it are only feelings, not facts, because I can't proof. I have the feeling because the more expensive Nvidia options have suffered of low support the last years by Sony in favor of AMD, now the latest efforts and renewings are for Nvidia stuff. But the team said also the AMD they are now working on. Maybe you see something in a next update.

@j-v Sorry, I have no idea what you are saying and how it applies to my curiosity! Perhaps you meant to post this in a different thread.
No, you have seen difference in VCE options for rendering and I did gave you my thoughts about my possible reason for what you are seeing in VPro16 latest build. But maybe I'm very wrong, I'm not an AMD adept and my writing in english language is very wrong maybe.

@j-v OK, this thread is about the difference in render speeds between starting Vegas Pro in user mode as opposed to starting it in admin mode. The reference to AMD was just to state what I used for my test comparisons. I still do not understand what your last 2 posts have to do with the difference between User/Admin modes. There may be a language barrier.
T- Task Manager shows CPU 45% user and 34% admin, GPU 81% user and 72% admin
I tried to show you my differences for normal user and Admin by the video with zoomed into the taskmanager to show my differences and I told you both rendertimes. What else are you trying to say or do with this topic? I thought you tried to show the difference between both user and admin and I tried to show you those difference with my Nvenc options rendered are not there. But let it be, probably you are complaining about something that happened only on your app.
