I think in Vegas Pro 16 this is a default setting now (with no optional switch).

That leads me to wonder, why the option switch in Movie Studio, or, why not the option in Vegas Pro? Is the feature to help play and render variable frame rate media, or is the feature more audio oriented to keep sync with the media? Or, perhaps none of the above!
