1. Start 2 empty projects
2. Load one with your collection
3 Select and copy what you want in project 2
4. Paste that selection in project 2

Thanks j-v,
It sounds like I tried what you suggested....
With my collection project open, I selected the track I wanted, right- clicked and hit Copy. I opened a new project, but it wouldn't give the option to right-click Paste. I also tried the copy & past options on top under Edit, but I got the same result.

That make sense. But, with the collection project open, if I select Project / New (to open a second project), it closes the first project. How to I get two projects open at the same time?

It is possible to have more than 1 project open at the same time.
Look

My problem here was not being able to have two VMS programs open at the same time, being able to switch back & forth on the task bar -- which you showed can be done. I just figured out that if I right-click on the task bar 'M', it would let me open another project in a different window without exiting the first one. Now it all works.
Thanks for sticking with me.
