DVDA doesn't detect HP dvd200e

It shows up in windows and is functioning, but when I try to burn a dvd it will not allow me to select a device or speed. ?

I am having the same problem with my sony burner. I am also in the other topic that is sony drive specific. Can someone tell me why architect doesn't like to detect dvd-r drives?

I might be way out of line but I think that I read a post a while ago stating that the new Nero (version 6) screwed up other burning applications. If you have Nero 6 it might be worth testing if that's what causes the problem.

Uninstall anything from Veritas first- that stuff is known to cause conflicts.
