VEGAS Pro 16.0
Version 16.0 (Build 248)

I have no idea what this means, and i cannot find a way to repair my vegas version. I've uninstalled BCC and still get this error, i've tried launching with control + shift and it just still keeps showing the error over and over.

Try deleting the Boris FX folder from C:\Program Files\Common Files\OFX if it's still there.

BTW, your Vegas Pro 16 build 248 looks like being the original release of VP16 - there have been 5 updates since the original release the last being build 424. To make sure that your original build of Vegas Pro 16 is not the cause of the problem, go to the My Products listing in your MAGIX My Account and run the installer for Vegas Pro 16 which will then install the latest version of Vegas Pro 16 - build 424.

Please get back to the forum if installing build 424 doesn't solve the problem as well as copying the Vegas Pro error windows (with details checked) and uploading the copy of that report to the forum.

I uninstalled Contiuum OFX and still get the error, however after clicking on ok an egregious amount of times and skipping the error i already have it opens just fine, i just no longer have my BCC plugins, How do i make vegas stop looking for them? and i cant update through that, i dont have my original sony login anymore so i cant even access that page.

@mkh, Dexcon told you what to do. You even copied it in your reply:

Try deleting the Boris FX folder from C:\Program Files\Common Files\OFX if it's still there.

So open up your Windows Explorer, browse to C:\Program Files\Common Files\OFX\Plugins (Sorry, Dexcon left off "/Plugins") and delete everything "Boris" from there.

Once you are able to open Vegas Pro 16 - removing the BorisFX folder as suggested above should do the trick ...

... i cant update through that, i dont have my original sony login anymore so i cant even access that page.

You wouldn't have bought Vegas Pro 16 from Sony because all Vegas Pro versions from version 14 onwards have been released under MAGIX ownership.

With a little bit of effort, you should be able to access the latest Vegas Pro 16 build from your MAGIX My Account. First, your VP16's serial number will display in VP16 by clicking on Help/About ... The Help/About window also displays the email address to which VP16 has been licensed - so with those two bits of information you are mostly there. You should be able to find the date of purchased for VP16 from your financial institution records - or if not available the date of program's .exe file will give an indication of the date that you downloaded Vegas Pro 16. If you still have the original order number (from the purchase email at the time) that will also be helpful.

With the above information, contact MAGIX at infoservice@magix.net and request assistance with perhaps resetting the password for the email account (if still current) or even changing the email account to a newer but current email account. Overall, this is a fairly easy process especially in order to get the latest and best version of Vegas Pro 16.
