Intermittent burst of noise with Windows 10

Previously I've used Vegas Pro 13 without a problem on Windows 7.
With Windows 10, I have a problem of intermittent bursts of noise when playing a project in Vegas.

This only happens when I have made changes to my WAV sound files, such as noise reduction, or click removal using Sound Forge Pro 11 or iZotope RX5.

No changes to WAV files and there is no problem.

If I save my changed audio files in AIF format, then it works fine.

My problem now is how to edit my previous projects in which I have made changes to the WAV files.

Any ideas?

Steve.

Dunno if the same as your situation, but I am finding a burst of noise at the start of events split from a recorded WAV 24/44k1/m .

Solution seems to be to manually lengthen the default short fade. Maybe be only since W10, but not sure. Never was a problem with the default fade in earlier versions.

I get the noise bursts close to the start of the clip, but changing the fade length does not appear to make any difference.
