I DO suspect the questions you will ask - but here is the thing - speak at length to several people at iStock who really really seem to know what is what.

Take in all the info they suggest carefully- then phrase your question accordingly for reply here.

All I'm after is either a template or list of render settings to use for best quality for iStock upload using HD1080i. 16x9etc
I have tried phrasing specific questions here before but all I have ended up with is bits and pieces of conflicting information and setting suggestions that DO NOT seem to correspond with the available settings in the Vegas 11 render box.
Either that or I get people arguing with me about the mechanics of something like the steps to open this box or that box etc. (obviously not Vegas users!).
Therefore in my confusion and uneducated state I need a list that EXACTLY matches ALL the available setting parameters that I would set in order to satisfy the iStock quality control police!.
I HAVE been in conversation with iStock and I have RTFM but in my ingnorance I cannot translate it to the settings required when using Vegas 11 and it (and they) do not tell me what all the other bits, pieces, bells and whistles should be set to and what they are for that matter.
Hence this post which is, I feel a perfectly logical request given my situation, in the hope of finding someone who is currently a sucesseful iStock contributor who may be kind enough to provide me with some detailed advice?
I hope I have explained myself well?

Like I said - you need to make a quotes " " entry here in the forum copying everything that iStock tells you -no paraphrasing - just quote their discussion with you verbatim.

The specs seem pretty well laid out to me.

Sorry, I have Vegas 8. I think I paid the $25 for QT Pro to expose some of the settings I couldn't get to in the free version.

You will need feedback from the Vegas 11 people to know for sure.
