They should show up. You need to look for the plugin names, which are general and not obviously Izo.

Geoff..

I also tried Vegas Pro 10, and the only VSTi's that came up were the stock ones bundled with
Vegas 10, 64 bit Pro. (Under Windows 7-Ultimate).

I did an install of Vegas Pro 9 32 bit on the same computer, with Windows Ultimate and all of the
third party VSTi's came up, the same way that they do in Sound Forge 10 and Acid 7. In fact
the Izotope Mastering Bundle can not be seen in Vegas 9 or 10 if you are at 64 bit. Izotope has
been 64 bit for a long time. (No Support for Sony Izotope on the Izotope web site).

In Vegas when you go under options, preferences and select VST effects, it does nothing if you
are at 64 bits. At 32 bits Vegas will sense effects on its own. The VST effects option seems to be
lost in space.

So we need a fix in the 64 bit version of both 9 and 10...?

Thanks for in the input!

The Izotope mastering bundle from SF, are Direct X (DX) plug-ins and work fine for me Vegas. (32bit)

OT, though the Izotope mastering reverb is a major CPU hog.

Sparrow:
1. The iZotope mastering plug-ins are not VST. They are DirectX.
2. When you're in the Plug-In Chooser dialog, the mastering plug-ins will show up in multiple places. Try Third Party, for example.
The plug-in names will NOT contain the word iZotope.

To elaborate on Steven's post, They are mostly named, Mastering Limiter, Mastering Reverb, Mastering EQ, ect, ect. If I further recall correctly, the only iZotope plug name not proceeded by "Mastering" is the "Multiband Compressor".
They should be listed in the Vegas FX folders: Direct X; Automatable and All; . and possibly the Third Party folder as well.
In addition, (after you locate them within Vegas), you may rename them if desired, create sub-folders ect. I believe this does not change the names in the other folders or in SF for that matter.

It works with my system in 32 bit, but does not in 64?
Have your tried Vegas 9, 64 bit with third party plug ins?

sparrow...

ps-sorry that I got VST and direct X mixed up, I come from
the pre computer era!

Many/most older plug-ins do not have 64-bit versions. If your project must be in 64-bit, then you are out of luck with such plug-iins.

I have a bunch of Izotope plug-ins (Ozone, Trash, Spectron, Alloy, RX2, etc.) and have problems with all of them in Vegas 9/10 64 bit. There is something up/wrong with Vegas 9/10 64bit and Izotope plug-in authorizations via iLok. Izotope plug-ins cannot find the iLok under 64 bit Vegas. I do have the latest PACE/iLok drivers installed on Win 7 x64 Pro. All Izotope plug-ins work fine with Vegas 9/10 32-bit.

Hi Greg M,

Are you sure, that VST folder in ProgramFiles64bit path is declared to scan as secondary foleder in Vegas VST Properties tab ?

I have been testing RX2 demo, no problem with installation VST or DirectX (both visible). There is problem, that Spectral Repair can't work properly in Vegas Pro 10a as non_real_time effect (confirmed by Izotope support).

Best regards,
