It's fine here on several different machines. Suggest try selecting different versions (Classic / ASIO ) of audio driver, to see if makes a difference. And then try re-install same to see if fixes problem.

What GW said, PLUS rescan your AUDIO VSTs. If you've got an external Audio box - I do - unplug, mine is a USB, and replug it.

Audio s/w I've found needs some TLC, sometimes, for the Vegas Audio controls to behave.

Thanks. Rescanned the Audio VSTs, tried various different audio drivers - no joy. Only thing left is uninstalling the drivers which I am loathe to do.

sometimes this might be a video driver problem. Have you updated the drivers lately either on purpose or through auto update?

Couldn't say for sure this is the problem, but might check it out before reinstalling.

Hi Kit,

If you are talking about the Master slider in the Master Bus, undock the Master Bus window or place it on a 2nd monitor, this may then allow you to adjust the slider without freezing. Just a work around, but works for me.

No updates, I'm very careful about any kind of update, especially drivers.

Thanks, that work around worked - would much prefer it docked but this is a great work around. Cheers.
