Monitor calibration tools/sites

Of all the listed ways to calibrate a monitor on this page, what do you find works best? I just got a new monitor, and want to calibrate both of my displays for video editing. Thanks for any suggestion

Edit: I tried the Windows 10 built in calibration tool and the resultant screen is waaaaaaaay too dark, can't even be close to right??

Spyder or X-Rite; visual tools are full of pitfalls.

I use spyderX elite from datacolor. It even allows to calibrate for many color spaces, such as DCI-P3.

X-Rite i1Display with DisplayCal is good (or monitor-specific software like Spectraview if you are on NEC, etc.)

I had an old Spyder 2 laying around, so I wrote a slightly inelegant tutorial for it. But the instrument is cheap, found mine NOS at Goodwill.
