MOTU
Guy's I Like your products, Most of us don't give a F@#k
about GigaSampler drivers, We as Windows users have already
gotten RIPPED OFF by not offering us Audiodesk that you've
given to MAC users, But we both pay the same price for your
audio hardware. Why don't you offer PC users a $200 rebate
and quite jerking us around and give us Win2k and WinMe
drivers? I Own 4ea MOTU-2408s 2ea. Midi Timepiece,Midi
Express XT and a Midi Express PC. I was looking to replace
all my 2408 with the 1296 I/O but tell me why?

MacMoney,
We are actively developing windows 2000 drivers for several
of our products, including our audio interfaces and are few
weeks away from active beta testing. The drivers that will
make this possible are not out yet. When they are
available, they will be posted to www.motu.com. I do not
have a projected release date.

Thank you again. If you need further assistance, please
don't hesitate to
call our technical support department at 617-576-3066. We
are open Monday
thru Friday, 9am-6pm Eastern Standard Time. In addition
to contacting

other methods of
contacting us and obtaining information.

Here's the response I got from them:

We haven't announced development on Win2K MIDI interface drivers
yet. We are currently finishing up the Win 98/ME USB drivers. I
would expect the Win2K MIDI drivers to be developed once the audio
drivers are completed, however, no formal plans have been announced
yet. They will not happen this year, beyond that, I cannot estimate.

So basicly Windows2001 will have been developed before they even think
about writing Midi drivers for Win2k.

For sale: MOTU Midi interfaces.....work well....in Win98...anyone?

That is basically the same reply I got from them in December 98. At
that time the big excuse was that Win2K was not released yet,
but, "we are actively ....."

Don't hold your breath.
