Print to Tape--multipleAVI Files

I am having a lot of trouble and can't figure it out no matter what I do. I have made a 40 minute movie and when I saved it I clicked the tab-print to DV tape. Then I hit the box DVNTSC and windows AVI. Then it made the file perfect except that it split it up into 3 seperate files. I can not use DV Capture to play the file as my DV capture only lets me capture. I have a DV Out (these all came with my card which is the Hollywood Bridge). I can print to tape fine with DV out using one file. From reading on here it seems that by saving the movie in the format I did that the other two files should just automatically play so that there will be a continuous flow on the tape--however every time I try it the first file I select is the only one that does go to tape and then it stops and it wants me to manually load each file seperatly but this makes my tape not flow--any suggestions to what I am doing wrong? I am at a loss I have tried everything I know and cant get it to work.
Thanks Beth

The files will only play continuously automatically if you use Sonic Foundry's Capture/Print to Tape tool. Which version of VideoFactory are you using? The VidCap tool that comes with version 2 should have two tabs at the top, one labeled Capture and the other labeled Print to Tape. Click on the Print to Tape tab, then use File / Open to select the first .avi file. Click Record to Device to start the printing process. The subsequent files will be printed automatically with no gaps.

Thanks for the quick reply. Maybe I dont have something set up right in options or something. I have the latest version of VidFactory. When I hit Video Capture my Dazzle automatically comes up should I change something in preferences somewhere--I have never seen a VideoFactory Capture come up. I will go and try to see what I can figure out--

Hi,
I got the VidCap to come up and I changed it to my preferred device. Thanks so much--once again I was making a mountain out of a molehill. You were a big help! Thanks again!!!!!

You can set which capture program is used under Options / Preferences / Video. On my installation this is set to:

      C:\Program Files\Sonic Foundry\VideoFactory 2.0\vidcap25.exe

You may want to browse around your system to make sure it's installed in the same place. You can also try running this program independantly to see if it works for you first before changing the preferences setting.

What if you want there to be a user defined gap between ptt?
