Random beeps with track FX......

UnderWeb wrote on 10/6/2000, 4:27 PM
Hello!

I searched through the rest of this messageboard as best I
could before posting this, and I hope this isn't an old
question. I am running a PIII 450 with 128MB RAM and plenty
of hard drive space. My problem is that whenever I run a
track fx plugin from the audio/track_optimized_fx folder,
upon playback there are random beeps and tones that pop up
all over the track. This doesn't seem to happen with the
EQ, Compressor, or Noise Gate plugins, but with any of the
other plugins like flanger, delay, reverb, etc. etc. it is
present and annoying! It wouldn't be so bad if the tones
could just stay in pitch and in time! ;-) But they are all
over the place. Any ideas?

Open the FX - do they have DEMO written all over them? It sounds like
they somehow did not get properly registered and are now acting as
demos.

I should also add that the same thing happens if I use the idea of
creating an assignable FX bus and sending track audio through the
effects that way. I still get the same beeps.

Thanks again in advance for any help.

Charles,

No, they appear to be okay in that regard. As I said, the standard
EQ, Compressor and such work fine......hmmmm. It's annoying!

Thanks a lot for your response though. Any other ideas?

As Charles stated, the beeps are part of our demo mode.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the XFX product you have.
