Render Issues in v12 64bit (didn't happen in v10)

I have a project I've been working on for some time, that I originally created in Movie Studio Platinum 10. I decided to upgrade to Movie Studio Platinum 12 (64bit). My project appears to open fine, and even previews fine in the timeline.

In v10, it exports fine, no issues. In v12, there's really no way to explain what it does other than it flickers and items jump all over the screen, which matches what the final file actually plays. It acts like it's all choppy and laggy and for the life of me I can't figure out why. I'm using exports that match my project (stuff with = next to it, just like in v10), nothing fancy. And it does it for all of them which is why I didn't list a specific export.

I'm running this on a Windows 7 Professional, Intel Core i7, SSD boot (where both programs are installed), 12GB tri-channel DDR3, RAID1 7200rpm drives that serve as temp and output, nvidia 9800gtx+ with latest drivers as of posting this.

In Preferences -> Video, I've set Dynamic RAM Preview to 4096, Maximum # of rendering threads to 4, GPU acceleration of video processing has my 9800gtx+ selected.

Any assistance to track down how to fix this would be appreciated. If I left out any information to help diagnose, please let me know and I can provide that.

Thanks!

Try this:
Open your VMS10 project in VMS 12, Save As a new project, open the new project and render. Does that make a difference?

In Options | Preferences | Video try setting GPU acceleration of video processing to Off and see if that helps. Since Movie Studio Platinum 10 didn't have GPU acceleration, turning it off should make Movie Studio Platinum 12 behave like 10 did. (worth a try) That would narrow it down to a GPU problem.

Thanks! It looks like re-saving it in v12 did the trick!

Actually turning off GPU acceleration is what stabilized it the most. Looks like it's time to upgrade finally. Thanks again to the both of you!
