Is there a way to add, say, a video clip to the beginning of a video event and have it move down not just the video but all the sound effects, music, overlays, etc., I've worked so hard to sync up with that video event?

Move the cursor to the beginning of the timeline and use the menu item "Insert->Time..." to move all the tracks at once. Make the time the same duration as the clip you want to drop in (obviously) ;-)

Hey, not a bad idea. Perhaps I should wait and write one on Screenblast MovieStudio. ;-) Thanks for the compliment but once you use it for a while you’ll get to learn all these little things too. I pays to tinker.
