SCS - please note : the three most waited for features for VP13:
1) Stability
2) Stability
3) Stability
And why not also consider fixing the GPU rendering that is really flawed, especially with some nVidia hardware.
My sad feeling is that we get (again) new features that 90% of us doesn't really need - added with new stability issues. This has happened before a couple of times, so this is an educated guess. Sorry to sound so sarcastic ... even if I love VP (when it works).
I did have access to Vegas Pro 12 beta forum until... a month ago last time I checked... Now that forum is not longer listed in my Forums list... quite surely a new one has been created...
As usual, who talks doesn't know, who knows can't talk.. (probably I mispelled the phrase but the idea is clear...)
A HitFilm software update is available! These are the changes:
*Added timeline integration with Movie Studio 13 from Sony. Import Hitfilm project files or send clips direct to HitFilm and render inside Movie Studio and Vegas Pro.
It definitely said "Vegas Pro 13 and Vegas Movie Studio 13", or words to that effect.
I had downloaded the free HitFilm 2 Express a few weeks ago, and after TheHappyFriar started this thread I opened up my HitFilm and got that message -- and it definitely mentioned "Pro 13" and "Movie Studio 13" both. I had originally thought maybe Happy misread "Pro" instead of "Movie Studio", but the message listed both and said the update was for timeline integration. I think you can now render the HitFilm project from inside Vegas.
I still haven't had time yet to try HitFilm, but I've followed their forums for years, and they get very positive reviews, especially at such a reasonable price.
AFAIK and have heard before HitFilm Ultimate was delivered the first day that Pro 12 came out over a year ago - and did not do the advertised plug-in approach really all that well.
Yeah, after "set" posted above on the 10th, about it only saying Movie Studio 13, I opened up HitFilm again and at that point the message was different, and now only mentioned Movie Studio. fxhome changed the updater text from its original version.
The funny thing is, the first time I tried it, and got the message mentioning both Vegas Pro 13 and Movie Studio 13, I took a screenshot snip of the message and was considering posting it here. It sat on my second monitor screen all day while I did nothing with it, then I decided it wasn't all that important and deleted it without saving it. In the big picture, it doesn't mean much. I think most people would expect a Vegas Pro 13 to be on its way sometime -- who knows when -- and would expect partner companies and developers to have early access to it.
I asked the same question a few weeks ago and most of the responses were less than conclusive.. Except one that suggested that Sony puts out a "casual user" type software, "Movie Studio" to see whats wrong first.
I just smelled Pro 13 because of the robustness and "Pro Like" behavior of Movie Studio 13.
But I'm not a software developer, so what do I know?
