SOT: Anyone seen this weirdness?

Today I bought VP10, DVDA and got the free Sound Forge Studio 10. I have not installed VP10 yet, but I did DVDA and SF10. After I installed and opened the programs, they asked for the SN. So, I type in the SN and the numbers all come out in a weird font - like Greek. I rebooted and tried again and the same thing, I got the same results in DVDA and SF10. After several tries, I just left the weird font and clicked register on-line. It registered fine, no problems. And the programs work fine. Now, that I think about it, the same thing happened several months ago when I upgraded Acid. The weird font doesn't show up in Open Office, Word, my web creation program or anything else I can find...only on the Sony registration. Anyone have any ideas or ever seen this before? And, yes, I did select English install.

If the application uses a font for its dialogs that you don't have installed then Windows will select another one that you do have that it thinks is the closest according to some metric. If that happens to be a Greek font then that is what you'll get. If you don't ever use the foreign font, simply uninstall it and Windows will then hopefully choose a Latin/Roman font next time that you can understand.
