the ‘Event Pan/Crop’ window attaches itself to top

These unbound external control windows -Event Pan/Crop and alike windows- snatch to the left upper control frame space, and attaches to it, were I find it difficult to handle and waist time in trying to get it loose. Is there a way to keep it from sticking to the top?

Hold down the <Ctrl> key while moving the unbound window? Or am I misunderstanding the problem?

One thing i'd really really love to see in Vegas (and all the other SCS software) is a switch that says, "I have my window layout the way i want it; disable ALL resizing & docking!"

Man, i'd click that option on about 15 seconds after i install every one of their titles and probably leave it on forever.

If you save your layout once you're happy, isn't it just a case of re-applying it under the 'view' menu if it changes??

True enough, but if i'm happy with my layout and don't want it to ever change, why allow it to change at all?

Yes true Chien, but I guess it's for those whose workflow includes lots of moving windows around to suit what they're working on. It's no big deal to go view/layouts/Arthur's. Unless you're not Arthur of course. :-D
