I wish I had known this was going to happen. I just purchased Video Factory 2.0c on August 6 and now this business. At least they could have given fair warning.
Now I suppose it's going to cost more money to move to Screenblast 3.0.
Very disappointed.

It looks like the upgrade from VideoFactory to Movie Studio is $29.95. Upgrade Link

I hope that upgrade price is for Screenblast Movie Studio 3.0, not an earlier version. Sony apparently doesn't like to mention the version number. There is no mention of a version number at all on the Screenblast site or in the press release. Another dumb move by Sony especially since there is an existing version of Movie Studio floating around.

What about the mpeg plugin? Just a waste of money? I haven't seen it mentioned elsewhere.. Is the Screenblast a download?

I hope so! $30 for the upgrade is fair enough, but having to add another $46 for shipping to the UK is a bit OTT.

I wonder if it is version 2.0c and if mpeg2 plug in I bought will work

Yeah, I just ordered the MPEG plug-ins on the 18th. Now I see that the upgrade to MS includes them. I've e-mailed someone at Sony to see if there's something that can be done, so I haven't wasted $29.95. I'll keep you'all posted...
