VMS 17 Platinum Help Screens

Preferences - General Tab. Delete reference to "Allow legacy GPU rendering" as it's now in the Deprecated Features Tab

Preferences - Deprecated Features Tab. Delete references to "Enable ProType Titler", "Enable Legacy stabilizer', "Enable XDCam Explorer" and "Enable Import DVD Camcorder Disc" as they don't exist, at least not for me.

Thank you. These bugs have been added to our database.

MS 17 and MSP 17 Help: Importing video / Importing video from a DVD camcorder :" ---From the Project menu, choose Import DVD Camcorder Disc. The Import DVD Camcorder Disc dialog is displayed.---"

Not in the Project menu. Seems "Import DVD Camcorder Disc" is still here instead in both.

Power User Mode EEM. MS 17

MS 17 Help: What's new in version 17: "VEGAS Screen Capture utility: Record video streams from your browser or video game." (Forget if it was reported)

Ian Schwartz wrote on 5/6/2020, 8:21 PM

I just purchased MS 17. Where do I find the VEGAS Screen Capture utility referred to in the help file?

EricLNZ wrote on 5/6/2020, 9:47 PM

Project/Vegas Capture, same as in VMS16.

@Ian Schwartz this thread is for Manual errors. Please start a new thread for other questions.

@Ian Schwartz I can't find the VEGAS Screen Capture utility in MS 17 either. That's why there's my error report above.

I find (and you'd find) the VEGAS Screen Capture utility in MS Platinum 17.

There are quite a few features missing from the basic/classic version of MS that do make a difference.

MSP 17. Help file | Keyboard shortcuts says "Create Nested Timeline = Alt+C" But I select a timeline event, then Alt+C does not appear to do anything and I can't find corresponding command on menu, and no help topic for this item. Thx.

EricLNZ wrote on 6/14/2020, 6:26 PM

Thanks Bob, another documentation error. There are no Nested Timelines in VMS, Basic or Platinum. It's a Pro feature.

VMS17 Platinum - Help for Video Plug-In - Saturation Adjust.

Item "Ratio" should read "Amount"

Item "Up one" should read "High".

Also Item "spread" should have a capital "S".

Goodness only knows where "Ratio" and "Up one" came from. The Center item correctly refers to Amount, and not Ratio!

Power User Mode - This is an omission rather than an error but I cannot find anything to explain what it gives you compared to not using it. Possibly it's there somewhere but I haven't found it.
