I'm having a similar problem with my HD Platinum 11 software today. The software would just keep crashing right when it first starts up, even after reinstalling the program.

Come to think of it, I've been having problems with this software since I first installed it. (Then again, it could just be me running off of Windows Vista.) I only downloaded that version because before I was working the Vegas 9 student version, and wanted to convert my videos to HD. I don't know if there's a bug patch coming for this software, or if I should just give in and upgrade to the newly released HD Platinum Suite 12.

If I'm reading the version correctly, you need to update to the latest version which is 11.0.322. That might fix your problem.

Seems the OP has the basic Movie Studio HD 11 version, not the Platinum. Build 75 is the latest there.

how do I update? everytime I go to the update screen on this website it justs gives me the option to download the whole program again...or do I have to re download it (which I think I have already tried)

How about your system spec's? They can impact what your are doing. As a last resort, you can also try and uninstall, clean the registry, and reinstall if hardware is not the issue.

Im not sure how to clean the registry but it shouldnt be something wrong with the system because I have been using the program for quite a while with no problems and then all of a sudden I cant do anything because of this error
