Tony,
try the advice Markk655 gave you in the other thread and move the problem plug-in into an alternate VST plugins folder. See if you can then open the program. After that you should be able to set (in Preferences > VST Effects) your default and/or alternate VST search folder(s) and select the check box for each VST plug-in that you want to make available to your Movie Studio projects or clear a check box to exclude the plug-in. Of course you need to make sure your other programs have the correct search folders also, if you move anything.

Tony,
that's why you should have/create another folder and move the plug-in first.

hi vk,

i moved the vst and then another vst caused VMS to crash. a bit ridiculous dont you think that i have to keep moving existing vst's.

ive uninstalled VMS now, it was a trial, was thinking of upgrading to v12 from 11, but not so sure now.

thanks again for all help, very much appreciated.

Again, suggest to move all of the VST plugins out of the folder. Then relaunch SMS12. Hopefully that should get you into SMS12.
