VP10 to VP 19 - No More "Properties" Context for Timeline Events??

LATER EDIT: The context menu problem resolved itself somehow after I changed the GUI from Dark to Medium, but that doesn't make sense. Or because I did a "Save As" to make sure its original version in VP10 could be accessed by VP10 if necessary. I still need to know what may have caused the problem as described below.

From v. 6, 8 to 10 I could always figure out where a "Media Offline" event was originally stored to try to track it down. I did some major - and somewhat stupid - directories and files deletions for my media drive died and so maybe I've nuked the missing files, but pre VP 19 I could at least see where they used to me.

They are NOT showing up in "All Media" as empty events. Or at least in this one project only a .bmp file is, but none of my .jpg stills. (That .bmp is an outlier for any stills are usually .jpg).

All I see when I right click ANY event is grayed out Cut, Copy, Delete and Insert/Remove Envelope and Show Envelopes. The cursor also changes from regular arrow to one with three little "nodes" under it. So maybe it's a Preferences setting issue?

I've searched Help with "Media Offline", offline, missing and nothing shows up.
(Also why does VP19 have a VP18 Help version?)

Yes, I can do a search when the missing files pop-up comes up on launching Vegas, but that does not give me what Properties used to (the full, not abbreviated old file location address that I can copy paste into Explorer - or my far more favorite search program that is way faster than Windows - Agent Ransack).

But the issue here is broader than just searching for missing files: a real context menu full of useful options.

I'm having a really hard time getting used to such a large GUI jump from VP10 in terms of getting anything done that I'm bogged down in stuff like this which is nuking any creative workflow.

C'est la vie in modern times of software upgrades, but it sho' ain't la vie en freakin' rose. :)

Your advice much needed and appreciated.
Thank you.
