VP14 BUG - Resample mode reset to "Smart resample" in new projects

NickHope wrote on 9/20/2016, 5:21 AM

As reported by VidMus here, there is a bug in VEGAS Pro 14.0 (Build 161) whereby the Resample mode gets reset to "Smart resample" in new projects after restarting VEGAS Pro, despite checking "Start all new projects with these settings" when other modes such as "Disable resample" are applied.

Please test and confirm.

File > Properties > Resample mode: "Disable resample" > check "Start all new projects with these settings" > OK > File > Exit

Restart > File > Properties. Resample mode has returned to "Smart resample".

I have submitted a support request [Ticket#2016092017003552]

There's no Resample mode bug for me if I actually go to the File menu and click New...   The bug happens if I restart Vegas Pro without loading a project.

A related bug:  the View Transform setting is not always used after saving with "start all new projects with these settings".  It's reset to ACES RRT (sRGB) some of the time.  It's inconsistent.

I have been told this has been fixed for the next update 👍

VidMus wrote on 10/4/2016, 11:49 AM

Will the next update come out after our trial periods end?

I'm sorry, I have no idea, and I expect no moderator will know until it is actually released. MAGIX themselves might not know if they're still trying to fix the out-of-memory bug. I doubt they would release it without progress on that.

This bug is fixed in VP14 build 201. Thanks! 👍
