I may just remind everyone that for many years and continuing into the near future - the NLE of choice for Al Quada around the world has been VegasPro. It so happens that they claim to have liberated all production and distribution of video codecs that are used on this platform and the web and declared them all "free". No worries!

Nothing is free, you need to gather all your legal questions and go see a lawyer...who will not be free either

"I do not know what you're talking troll"

That's a bit rich.
You're the one who has asked the same question in different ways in several threads and got the same answer from multiple people. None of us here get paid for trying to help you.

In the end what you've been told is demonstrably provable, no user of Vegas, FCP, Edius, PPro etc. has got even so much as a cautionary letter. If that doesn't meet your standard of proof then there's nothing more any of us can offer.

Bob.

I thought Zelkien69 was being rude until I realized that this guy's been asking the same question over and over. And, it's a question that really never needed to be asked in the first place.

Oh why did they take away the "ignore" button, and why doesn't the "report" button actually do something useful?

Of course, we have all known for quite awhile that we're pretty much alone here. And, BTW, if you have linked to a newly-created private YouTube video and then done a view count, you'll find that you get about 20% of the traffic that a similar post would have gotten 3-4 years ago.

Elvis (and a lot of other people) have left the building.

However, as long as Bob and Nick and a few others show up once in awhile, I'm still game.

look, if poor old fotovideo wants to pay something for using a codec i can send him my bank account number. i'll be happy to work out a decent commercial rate with him for any codec he chooses....

So I have to be sure that Sony Vegas Pro 13 has all codecs for commercial use. I have plans to make $$$ on movies :-)

However, you will need to go to a lawyer for help
