About me Forum Tutorials Comments Guestbook Video on 8/15/2019 Vegas Pro 17 Hangs almost constantly Go to Preferences>Video> and set "thumbnails to show in video events" to either off or a setting that will require it to draw fewer thumbs. There is a bug in 17 with thumbnail loading that has affected a lot of people, the team is aware of it and is working on it. This will get you working again until they can address the issue. Thank you so much! This worked and the hanging stopped. Video on 6/22/2019 HIGH DPI Issue - Big animate button The natural tendency is to Preview at full screen resolution. With a 28" UHD monitor, the human eye cannot reliably resolve the differences between 1080p, 1440p, and 2160p (before someone jumps on me, I know you can). But even Superman is not going to see anything "more" at 3840x2160. Save full resolution for displaying your masterpiece, and edit at a comfortable size for your source preview, screen area, and font scaling. Like @rraud I switch occasionally to reveal cut-off text, but i try to keep it to a minimum. My sweet spot for much HD work is actually at 1280x720. Put a 1080p image next to a 4k image, if you don't see a difference you should probably go see an eye doctor as you may need glasses. At least that's how it was for me Video on 5/10/2019 Neat Video v5 is out Upgraded and definetly feels alot faster, 1080p footage with heavy noise reduction, filtering and sharpening i got 32fps on a 1080ti as compared to v4 which was only netting around 18-22fps. Video on 4/21/2019 Microsoft Messed Up my Vegas Pro 16! Hey @aboammar, i noticed your problem and i had the same exact issue a while back. Struck me at a critical time when my deadline was due that day and suddenly my Vegas Pro would crash every time i tried opening it.. Turns out for some reason the latest version of Vegas Pro 16 has a compatibility issue with Hitfilm Ignite plugins and people are suggesting removing them completely to fix the issue.. Fear not as you really don't need to as this issue is quickly corrected. Go to the folder Vegas Pro points in the crash report, move the ignite core to your desktop, restart Vegas Pro and it should start with no issues. After its fully started, close the program and move the ignite core file back to the folder. This should fix the issue and Vegas Pro should start correctly with your beloved ignite plugins fully working. Ps. i noticed that this issue can come back at really awkward times for no apparent reason but if it does just repeat the steps and it will be back working in 5 minutes. Cheers and hope this fixes your issue. 1
