Puzzling... I don't see the point -- even theirs (whoever they are).

There appears to be no home page for the site, only the phony Vegas forum page and no indication of the purpose behind the website. However, it may be a means of trapping names for a mailing list as it seems to be impossible to view any aspect of the site without "registering" with name, email address, etc. The "CN" country code is mainland China (surprise, surprise!)

The point is money. There are three ads on every topic page. People search for something Vegas related, some click to a topic page on that site, some click an ad, they get money.

There's Google ads on the page. If there's enough views, profit, if not lose.
It seems content from here is being copied onto that site which is naughty as everything here belongs to Sony but I doubt they care that much.
Certainly there's many Sony Vegas Pro fora, at COW, DVInfo, DVXUser and RED User plus several foreign language sites.

...which is actually quite a useful thing. I've been able to trace quite a few old threads via a Google result for sonytalk, when I couldn't find them in a forum search here.

Now i get it. This is the same site as sonytalk.com

going to sonytalk.com diverts to designstudioschool.com its one of the same.

My guess is they had to shut it down the first time, only to relaunch with designstudioschool.

I dont see the problem.

If they wan tto run a forum with their topics, then let them.

I have many other websites rip my forum and blog RSS feeds and thereby help spreading the knowledge from my sites, to corners of the web I cant cover.
