Plese help with project & export settings

kplo schrieb am 30.06.2016 um 18:49 Uhr
Hi All,
I don't normally shoot 24p material for the web.
However, I shot 24psf with Canon XA10. MTS files brought into Vegas 10 show "interlaced" (I know the 24p was encoded into a 60i stream).
I want to export a high bitrate MPEG2 progressive file. What project and event properties would be best to end up with a progressive uotput that maintains the 24p motion signature.

There was an article on this some time back (I think) but I can't find it.

Thanks for your help.
Ken

Could you upload a few seconds of video shot in this fashion to dropbox.com or other cloud-sharing site.and post the link? I have Vegas 10 on one machine and will attempt to help you.

Failing that. Use Mediainfo to determime the characteristics of the media.

Just need to know if I should open an interlaced 29.97 upper field first project and leave the files interlaced, or change everything to progressive and render that out to the Main Concept Blue ray format at 25mbs progressive or???

Thanks,
Ken

"Just need to know if I should open an interlaced 29.97 upper field first project and leave the files interlaced..."

Based on what I see, I'd certainly start there and render a minute or two to the Mainconcept Blu-ray 1920x1080-24p template. Who knows? Vegas may get it right on the first try. If not we'll talk.
