Can someone please explain why it my audio tracks are played faster and how I can set it back to normal speed !?
I have unfortunately changed a setting accidentally.
And then I have another problem.
When I render my videos it is so that certain clips hang and jerky.
Can someone please tell me how I can solve this problem?

What are your sources in this video? is it ProRes 29.97 fps ?
If it is, there a bug in ProRes reading.
Disable the mxhevcplug in C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 14.0\FileIO Plug-Ins (Just rename the mxhevcplug folder to something else, like mxhevcplug_off)
But make sure you have Quicktime plugin installed. By disabling mxhevcplug, VP14 will use qt7plug.dll again. - Also, please note that 16-235 range will be 'stretched' to 0-255 when uses qt7plug.
This is my assumption on reading your issue... if not this, I need to know what codec of source media do you use, and what final format do you render to?

I can not imagine that it is related to Quicktime but I have now again installed the latest version.
I have rendered the video in different file formats.
But the problem was in every video.
