Sony VEGAS hasn't existed since 2016... VEGAS Pro 13 was the last Sony product.

what version and build of VEGAS Pro are you using?

Systems:

Desktop

AMD Ryzen 7 1800x 8 core 16 thread at stock speed

64GB 3000mhz DDR4

Geforce RTX 3090

Windows 10

Laptop:

ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo 32GB (9980HK CPU, RTX 2060 GPU, dual 4K touch screens, main one OLED HDR)

For the audio, please share MediaInfo for the file and possibly a short clip of it.

All NVENC renders go up and down (momentary delay) which isn't a problem and I think I already told you to do a render test. I use the RTX 2080 Super with NVENC myself. Try rendering this and compare your time: https://forms.gle/B75z27WKc6of16Az5
